WriteShop Curriculum

As you should all know by now, I homeschool. Not only do I homeschool, but I teach 2 boys who couldn't learn anymore differently from each other. One is brilliant and reads ALL.THE.TIME He thrives on reading, worksheets, assignments and writing. The other is also brilliant, but in a very different way. He struggles with reading (dyslexic and has VPD), he hates to write but loves to tell me stories that I write for him, and he prefers hands on learning and experiments. Worksheets and assignments make him frustrated and cry. I much prefer and can relate to Elder-Son's more traditional way of learning and so surrendering to C-Dog's learning style has been a challenge for me. I want him to love to read and write because he has an incredible imagination and his stories can entertain just about anyone! He has a natural story-telling ability. Elder-Son has to work at it and I thank God he was given the gift of perseverance! One day, and I can't for the life of me remember HOW, I discovered WriteShop. It is this amazing writing program and I was positive I found the writing curriculum that would challenge and encourage Elder-Son and help cultivate and create positivity (yes, I know this isn't a word, but it should be) for C-Dog. I tried it out and I am hooked. Once I get hooked I become incredibly loyal to the company so I have been telling many friends about WriteShop every chance I get. One friend that I know of has decided to also use the program with her son! Yay! I know she will love the program as much as I do ;) I also had the opportunity to listen to the founder of WriteShop at the local homeschooling convention this past spring. She is really an amazing woman and I have learned so much from her! She even spoke about special needs writing! I now have a solid game plan for C-Dog and I have her to thank for it. So who wants to know more about WriteShop?? Well, you need to go to their Facebook page and "like" them because I know you won't regret it. Also, you need to go to the following link from Homeschool Giveaways. They wrote up an fantastic review about WriteShop and just like their name suggests there is a giveaway at the bottom of the post for you to enter for a chance to win one of WriteShop's curriculum! Of course I am hoping to win since I have yet to come up with the money for Elder-Son's writing curriculum for his 5th grade year, but if I can't win I want one of my friend's to win! Trust me, you will not regret giving WriteShop a chance! Here is the promised link to the must-read review and giveaway! http://homeschoolgiveaways.com/2012/06/giveaway-writeshop-set-99-value/comment-page-4/#comment-56038 Good luck my friends and as always, peace to you!
